Yesterday's episode of The Today Show proved a theory Project Runway's been shilling for years: to stay on top, you've gotta be innovative. Some of the ideas seem wacky, but think about the last time you threw your hair in a ponytail in exasperation, lost your favorite pumps to a puddle, or regretted a big-ticket purchase, and these three heavy-on-innovation products suddenly make perfect sense.
The Bandit ($70-$80): OK, so maybe you've never thought to yourself, "I really wish I had Paris Hilton's hair", but The Bandit may change your mind – sort of. Fix bad hair days in an ouch-free flash with this headband-meets-extensions combo. Each Bandit comes with four headbands, so you can achieve whichever Blair Waldorf moment you're going after on any particular day.
Shuellas ($50): Avoid the dreaded chore of dragging around drippy Wellies whenever it rains by investing in a pair of Shuellas. Short for shoe umbrellas, Shuellas are candy-colored wraps that protect your heels, flats, and ankle boots from the elements, then fold away into a waterproof pouch while you strut your cute shoes indoors. No more hauling multiple pairs of shoes back and forth. Take that, Mother Nature!
Terry Stack Belts and Buckles ($6-$50): You could blow your fall accessories budget on one statement-making designer belt, or you could cover all your bases and buy mix-and-match bands and buckles from Terry Stack. Create killer combos with tons of choices of buckles and bands. The only problem with this innovation? Narrowing down the choices.
And we'll be sure to keep you posted the minute we road test all of these products and let you know if they're as good in practice as they are in theory!
