Sunday Night Football is returning, which means Carrie Underwood is once again giving the show’s iconic opening a revival. But this year, some fans aren’t exactly excited to see the country superstar return, with several saying they’re “tired” of having her perform the opening every season.

The “Before He Cheats” hitmaker is back for her 14th consecutive season performing Sunday Night Football‘s “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night,” and she showed off her signature edgy style in the newly released promo.

For the new opening, the 43-year-old wore black leather shorts with a sheer teal mesh top and a sparkling teal and black blazer layered over it. She accessorized with a long black beaded necklace, stacks of bracelets, and silver drop earrings.

She completed the rock-inspired look with knee-high black boots covered in silver sequins, while her blonde hair was styled down with a center part and her signature glam makeup finished off the look.

Carrie Underwood Wears Edgy Ensemble For ‘SNF’ Promo

The new Sunday Night Football opening will debut Sept. 13 during the season premiere featuring the Cowboys vs. Giants.

NBC said in a statement that viewers will once again hear “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night,” the show’s reworked version of Joan Jett’s classic “I Hate Myself for Lovin’ You.” While the song itself isn’t going anywhere, the network explained that the arrangement is refreshed each season.

This year’s version will also put a greater emphasis on the song’s rock ‘n’ roll roots, something Underwood has long embraced.

“I love this new version of the track and, once again, Tripp and the incredible team behind the camera brought it to life in a whole new way that captures the spirit of this iconic song and the heart of rock ‘n’ roll,” Underwood said. “It’s one of my most favorite opens yet!”

NBC also revealed that the visual presentation will be bigger than in previous seasons, with the new video taking Underwood from an intimate club setting to a massive football stadium.
