Internet Users Accuse Anne Hathaway Of Walking Around With 'Body Makeup' Around Her Pregnant Belly
Over the weekend, on Sunday, August 9th, the Princess Diaries star attended the red carpet premiere of one of her many new projects, The End of Oak Street, a sci-fi mystery film that's going to hit theaters later this week.
In the movie, Anne plays a member of the Platt family, whose world is turned upside down when a 'cosmic' event occurs and transforms their new suburban neighborhood. She stars in it alongside other celebrities like Ewan McGregor and is promoting it right off the heels of her other major release for this year, Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey. On Sunday, she attended the Los Angeles premiere, wearing a dramatic, pale blue halter top that was significantly cropped in the front, showing off her pregnant belly, and draping behind her in the back.
The soon-to-be mom of three's baby bump, which was further accentuated as it peaked over her pair of low-rise blue jeans, caught a lot of people's attention. It was one of the first times she walked around with her stomach exposed since announcing her pregnancy in June, and internet users had a lot to say about it; some even thought it was fake due to what they believed to be 'makeup' on it.
"Why does it look fake?" asked a TikTok user under a video of her at the premiere.
"I thought the same thing!" responded another. "It looks fake!"
"That's not one bit real," commented a user.
"It does look fake," added another. "There's body makeup on it."

Anne Hathaway Claps Back At Internet Trolls & Addresses Her Belly
Since the rumors about her 'faking' her pregnancy began circulating after the weekend and more speculative comments arose, it seems that they made their way back to the 43-year-old, who ended up addressing them in one of her latest Instagram posts.
Fans of hers and other internet users have been at her defense, writing about how any unexpected or strange appearances with her belly could be due to her having abs, could be due to her particular body type, etc. And while she didn't give any of that information in her new post, she did make light of the situation, highlighting a feature of hers at the premiere that was actually fake.
"Fake hair, real bump," she wrote, addressing her long ponytail during the event. "Enjoy the @endofoakstreet Block Party chaos with me as my outfit literally melts in the heat!"
Fans continued to cheer her on under her post, writing about how they thought her comeback was humorous and more.
"I love you, this is hilarious!" wrote a fan.
"Oh, I think she saw the comments on TikTok," added another, with one user chiming in, "I love how you always silence the haters."
