Feeling stressed out? Frustrated with an iPhone that always seems to be low on battery power and doesn't have enough storage for your needs? This is going to be painful, but — deleting your Facebook app is one of the simplest ways you can bring your phone back to life and regain some of that inner peace you may feel is lacking in your everyday life. Here are four perfectly good reasons to delete the Facebook app from your iPhone right now.

4 Reasons You Should Delete The Facebook App

1) It's draining your battery — The Facebook app is one of the worst offenders when it comes to apps that suck the life out of your battery. If you are finding yourself traveling everywhere with a charger because your iPhone, try this experiment: launch Settings from your home screen and tap on Battery. Battery usage will populate, showing a list of apps that are using up the most power. Chances are high that the Facebook app is number one or two on the list. Delete it and conserve major battery power.

2) You Can Still Use Facebook Messenger Without The Facebook App — Not only can you access Facebook via your Safari browser, eliminating the need to download the Facebook app, but you can download the Facebook Messenger app instead of Facebook and use it as a way to keep in touch with people. Facebook Messenger consumes power, but turning off Background App Refresh can help.

3) The App Uses Up Tons Of Storage — Apps like Facebook and Twitter use up space to store cache. If you're starting to get pop-up windows warning you that you don't have much storage left, deleting the Facebook app will prove a huge help.

4) You Feel Stressed Out — Having the Facebook app right at your fingertips makes it too easy to stop everything you're doing and check people's status updates. Constantly monitoring social media can cause anxiety, stress, and a FOMO feeling that distracts from the moment. Try deleting the app and restricting your Facebook usage to a few times a day — that small action alone can help alleviate stress.
