Emma Stone made an appearance on the Graham Norton Show last month to promote her buzzing and acclaimed film, Poor Things, and looked stunning in a black long-sleeved minidress paired with sheer tights.
During her segment with co-star Mark Ruffalo, the Oscar winner, 35, opened up about her long-standing friendship with Taylor Swift and recounted her experience of attending three of the singer’s Eras Tour concerts.
Stone had her fiery red tresses styled in a sleek updo, and kept her makeup minimal with light blush and mascara. While many fans praised her elegant appearance, some on social media criticized her for looking “different” and appearing to have “aged.”
However, others came to the defense of the Easy A alum, insisting that she looks “just right” for her age.

The official YouTube account for the Graham Norton Show shared a clip from Stone's appearance on the talk show, and many fans began sharing their thoughts in the post's comment section. "She doesn't look bad or anything, obviously a beautiful lady, but she does look different, not sure what it is," one user wrote as another added: "She just looks a bit older - like many 35 year olds."
Others stressed that Stone not only "looks her age," disagreeing with other commenters, and stressed that she has always been radiant and stylish. "Why are people in the comments being rude about the way she looks?" one wrote, adding: "Are they surprised that a 35 year old does not look the same as they did at 22? She looks great and she looks her age."
Someone else replied: "I think she's just wearing her make up different, that's all. She still looks great." Others stressed that it all really wasn't "anyone's business" but Stone's. "She looks natural..not air brushed..no cosmetic surgery," one other commented.
While chatting with host Norton, 60, Stone discussed her 15-year friendship with Swift, 34, and how they met as teenagers at a red carpet event.
"We met at this thing that they had called the Young Hollywood Awards in L.A., and we just kept in touch ever since and became great friends," the mom of one said while also sharing that she's seen three of Swift's Eras Tour concerts.
Stone revealed that her attendance at Swift's tour's opening night in March 2023 was due to the fact that it took place in her hometown of Glendale, Arizona.
Additionally, Stone highlighted the unique link between her and the Eras Tour, which was that the tour's choreographer, Mandy Moore, also choreographed her 2016 Oscar-winning musical film La La Land. The Help star added that Swift's concerts were "incredible to see."
Norton also inquired whether the Cruella actress would confirm the circulating rumor that Swift's vault track "When Emma Falls in Love," off her July 2023 Speak Now (Taylor's Version) album was inspired by Stone. Despite the question, Stone refused to indulge Norton's curiosity.
"You have to ask her," Stone said before Norton changed the subject. Many Swifties believe that "When Emma Falls in Love" was written about Stone's romantic involvement with Kieran Culkin, with whom she had a relationship spanning from 2010 to 2011.
Swift's penchant for keeping mum about the inspiration behind her songs is well known. However, during a surprise performance of the track in July of last year at Kansas City, the Grammy winner disclosed that she had written it for one of her closest friends, according to Entertainment Weekly.
