Gwyneth Paltrow has had a busy summer this year as she juggles her family life with her successful wellness brand, Goop. Now, she has decided to get her feet wet in the renting business as she listed her Montecito guesthouse on Airbnb in an effort to fight the isolation and loneliness that has plagued the world after the pandemic.
Of course, the 50-year-old gave a tour of the luxurious house in style, as she was seen in a chic navy midi dress from her very own brand, Goop.
The design showcased an exquisitely feminine silhouette, featuring charming puff sleeves, artfully pleated shoulders, and a waist elegantly smocked for a figure-flattering effect. The mom of two sure knows how to pull off the perfect hostess ensemble!
Despite this random but exciting news that can allow people to experience a day in the life of Gwyneth’s guest, she unfortunately received a lot of backlash from users who called her ‘out of touch’ and criticized her for her partnership with Airbnb instead of addressing the homeless crisis in her home state of California.

Gwyneth Perfects The Hostess Look In A Midi Dress
In the post from August 1, Gwyneth appeared in front of the camera in an elegant, deep-blue Sheely Puff-Sleeve Midi Dress from Goop (which is all sold out). Gwyneth demonstrated an impeccable choice for playing the role of a gracious host within the confines of her own property. Her attire struck a balance between sophistication and ease, exuding a refined yet comfortable aura in its relaxed fit. The ensemble’s ultra-feminine silhouette was adorned with puffy short sleeves, elegantly pleated shoulders, and a waist artfully designed to enhance its flattering appeal.
Not known for donning heavy makeup, the Goop founder confidently revealed her healthy complexion in a natural, makeup-free look. She jokingly stated as she placed some Goop products in the bathroom, “Your skin will be better when you leave than when you came.”
Gwyneth Called 'Out Of Touch' For Her Plan To Fight Loneliness
Beyond being merely a guesthouse, this remarkable property could easily be mistaken for a mansion by some when taking a peek inside. It consisted of a wood-burning fireplace, bedrooms with high ceilings, and a marble bathroom featuring its very own bathtub that overlooked a picturesque natural landscape.
However, the whole house tour and the purpose behind the listing didn't sit well with some people. Gwyneth stated in her caption, "Loneliness is a human condition, but in the past few years, increased isolation and our lack of community has made our lives even more fragmented. @airbnb had the brilliant idea of doing something to make the world a little less lonely, which is why I’m inviting you to come stay at my Montecito guesthouse for a night."
Fans commented, "Gwen, this is Instagram where normal civilians who can barely make rent each month, let alone eat...socialize." "So out of touch! Girl, you need to start making movies again, acting like you are human!" "How about Airbnb and celebrities partner to buy a building in LA and turn it into a homeless shelter which will really impact the loneliness in the world of LA."
