Heidi Klum turned heads at this year’s Cannes Film Festival with her elegant looks and curvaceous figure, which she credits to her husband encouraging her to nourish herself.
The supermodel recently opened up about how aging and gaining weight after menopause have affected her life and appearance in a new interview. After making headlines with her body during the prestigious French film festival, she revealed that her husband, Tom Kaulitz, encouraged her to look past any criticism or self-doubt and eat more to nourish herself as she changed. Heidi Klum Says Husband Tom Kaulitz Told Her To 'Eat More' As She Aged
When female celebrities have been in the spotlight for decades, there are those who talk about aging and get real about it, and there are those who prefer to stay tight-lipped.
One public figure who has chosen to embrace the aging process is the Project Runway star, Heidi Klum, who's been discussing how she's dealing with it as well as menopause in various interviews. Not long ago, she made headlines when she attended the Cannes Film Festival, as she arrived in figure-hugging dresses that emphasized her curves.
Some social media users pointed out that she had "gained weight," despite still looking like a star. In a recent interview with Us Weekly, she acknowledged her weight gain and revealed her husband, musician Tom Kaulitz, inspired her to just roll with it.
"I think with age, we look better when we're not as skinny," she said. "My husband was the first one who pointed that out. He said, 'You should eat more; you would look better if you had more meat on your bones.' When I look back at photos, I'm like, 'He's right!'"

The mom-of-four also became vulnerable during her recent interview, explaining that the advice her husband of over eight years gave her was the complete opposite of what she had been listening to throughout the majority of her career as a supermodel and television personality.
"[It] is not something you're told in the industry, ever, because you're always supposed to be skinnier than you are," she explained.
However, not only is she feeling better due to dropping restrictive diets and a self-depricating mindset, but she also finds that she's looking even better than before, now that she's allowing herself to gain a little bit of weight and ease into this new era of her life.
"Proportion-wise, I look better, bigger," she admitted, later noting that she was "not interested at all" in taking a GLP-1 medication to lose any weight she gained in recent years.
"You can't please everyone, and not everyone is going to like what you do, but you have to look in the mirror and be happy with who you are," she added. "I did find my niche, and look who's still here."
