Jimmy Kimmel is taking another jab at Donald Trump’s marriage, this time joking that Gavin Newsom and Melania Trump shared more intimacy in their viral cheek kiss moment than Donald Trump has had with his wife in years. Referring to a video from earlier this year in which Newsom greeted the first lady with a kiss on the cheek, Kimmel joked that it was a level of intimacy nearly foreign to Donald Trump. Jimmy Kimmel Jokes About Gavin Newsom & Melania Trump
During the Tuesday, October 6th episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! the host got around to commenting on Trump’s recent comments from a rally in Nebraska, in which he suggested that allowing Iran to strike Los Angeles and San Diego could be a small price to pay for national security.
“I know he says a lot of crazy things,” Kimmel said of Trump’s comment. “I know this is something we’ll forget about by Thursday when he accidentally swallows a baby at a rally or whatever the hell he does next. But, that’s one of the craziest, most indefensible statements I have ever heard even this maniac make.”
Kimmel then said there might be a reason Trump has no room in his heart for California, and pulled up footage from earlier this year of California Governor Gavin Newsom greeting first lady Melania Trump with a kiss on the cheek.
“Our governor got farther with his wife than he has in 15 years,” Kimmel joked. “That’s right. And she’s been California dreamin’ ever since.”

Social Media Reactions
Across social media platforms, many users joked along with Kimmel, but others flagged real concern for Trump's comments. "Can someone explain to me why an American President calling for the enemy to take out two American cities not send shockwaves across all media networks?!" one user asked. "This is beyond insane! This man needs to be removed from office already!"
"America...you are not angry enough," another user agreed.
"I have zero respect for the morons in Nebraska who cheered trump when he suggested Iran take out LA or San Diego," said another.
"What does it take to be found mentally unfit for office?" asked the next. "It's ridiculous."
"Trumps words about L.A. and San Diego, coming from a President of the United States are grounds for being charged with treason, plain and simple, this guy is seriously unstable," said another.
"There is no low Trump won't stoop to go even lower," a final user wrote. "This is insanity."
