Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are Hollywood’s newest it-couple, and they can’t say enough good things about one another. Katy in particular just spent a good portion of an interview talking about Justin’s unwavering support for her, especially while she’s on tour, saying he’s “a different level” than anyone she’s been with in the past. Katy Perry Compares Justin Trudeau To Past Relationships
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet of her new concert film, The Lifetimes Tour—Live from Paris, the pop star couldn't help but gush about her new man. "He's just there to support," she said for the former Canadian prime minister. "I've had, you know, people come to my shows before and partners and support in their own way but this is definitely a different level."
She also spoke about her first time performing in front of Trudeau, 54, admitting that she was very "nervous."
"I don't typically get nervous," she explained. "Maybe I get some butterflies on the first show because it's all the things coming together, and because of social media, you want to kind of get it right."
"But in Montreal, you know, this is the tour," she continued. "This is the Lifetimes Tour. When the documentary comes, y'all might see me in a different way because in Montreal, I was like, 'I can't look at him.' A lot of energy."

Katy Perry's Relationship History
It seems like Trudeau is definitely the most supportive of her relationships. Katy was previously engaged to Orlando Bloom—she spent nearly 10 years with him! They first were romantically linked in 2016, but broke up briefly the following year, only to get back together in 2018. In 2019, Bloom proposed, and the next year, they welcomed their daughter, Daisy. They never officially tied the knot, and broke up in 2025.
Prior to Bloom, Katy briefly dated DJ/producer Diplo and was on-again-off-again with John Mayer for two years. Before that, she was married to Russell Brand: the pair met in 2009 and were engaged the same year, tied the knot in 2010 before filing for divorce in 2011.
