Donald Trump Signs Executive Order To Rename Lake Ontario
Trump has been pushing Canada hard on trade, claiming that Canada has unfair tariffs and trade practices that hurt American businesses. He's even called Canada the "51st state," a number of times, and most recently imposed 50% tariffs on Canadian goods.
Taking things a step further, on Thursday, August 27th, he signed an executive order directing the government to call Lake Ontario "Lake America."
"We're going to be changing the name of Lake Ontario, effective immediately, to Lake America," the 80-year-old said in the Oval Office as he signed the executive order.

Social Media Reactions
Across social media platforms, users were appalled not only by Trump's pettiness, but also because of how much time and energy he's wasted on being petty instead of real issues the American people are facing—many of them due to his own choices. "Such a shame of leadership," one person wrote on Instagram.
"The rest of the world has to think we are the biggest joke," wrote another one.
"How did we get here?" asked the next. "This is ridiculous."
"He's so petty," another added. "Doing anything except what actually needs to be done, as always."
"He's a bully," pointed out one person. "Always has been, always will be."
"He's the teeniest, tiniest man," said a final user. "A giant toddler, really."
