Karoline Leavitt recently gave Instagram followers a rare glimpse into her family life, sharing photos of her two young children in a July photo dump.
The White House press secretary shared the slideshow on Aug. 2, with several of the snapshots featuring a recurring color theme: blue.
In one photo, the 28-year-old wore a white tank top with ruffled trim and classic blue denim shorts. She completed the casual look with black sandals and wore her hair up in a claw clip while holding her 2-year-old son, Niko.

She continued the blue theme in another snapshot, wearing a blue V-neck summer dress with ruched detailing and ruffled shoulders. Leavitt posed alongside her husband, Nicholas Riccio, while holding Niko in front of a large birthday cake decorated with animals and a message reading, “Happy 2nd Birthday Niko.”
The photo dump also included moments of Leavitt enjoying breakfast with her children, watching sunsets with friends, spending time with her mother, cuddling her baby daughter Viviana, who was born May 1, attending concerts and enjoying time at the beach.
Leavitt has remained in the headlines in recent months, both because of her role as White House press secretary and because of comments she made about her own generation, Gen Z.
In July 2026, the mom of two sparked backlash during an appearance on Fox News with Jesse Watters, where they discussed young Democratic voters who support progressive candidates, including New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

Karoline Leavitt Calls Gen Z 'Lazy'
Watters began by criticizing young voters, saying, “Some of these kids—and I call them kids because they are in their twenties and have never had real jobs, and they’re complaining that things are expensive. Yes, things are expensive when you don’t have a real job.”
He then asked Leavitt whether that message was gaining traction.
“Unfortunately, I do, because this generation, my generation, I hate to say it, Gen Z and those younger than me have been raised with just silver spoons in their mouths, just getting everything handed to them. That’s not the values this country was built on,” Leavitt responded.
“It was built on meritocracy and hard work, pulling up your sleeves, pulling yourself up from your bootstraps, and achieving the American dream, and we need to protect it with all we’ve got,” she added.
Watters then asked whether she believed laziness was a problem among her generation.
“A little bit,” Leavitt replied, before adding, “It’s laziness, and it’s the liberal indoctrination.”
The conversation took another turn when Watters suggested that young people who “misbehave” should join the military. “Right? Shape them up,” he said.
Leavitt responded, “Send them to Cuba. Send them to Iran, they’re gonna want to come back real quick.”
While Leavitt's political comments have continued to generate debate, her latest Instagram post offered a more personal look at the White House official as a mother spending time with her family.
