Chargers may look one and the same, but that couldn’t be less true. A quality phone charger is capable of powering up your device quickly. It should also always be compatible with your phone brand and model. The wrong charger for your phone can deliver inadequate power to your device, which can mean it takes forever to power up your phone and, over time, this can affect its battery performance. And although no one is excited to spend an arm and a leg for a charger, be careful when choosing cheap chargers, some of which may lack safety features. Many tech experts agree: this is the best iPhone fast charger you should be using.

The best iPhone fast charger

Shahnawaz Sadique, the founder of technology, gaming, and entertainment news website CommonStupidMan.com, recommends the Apple 18W USB-C Power Adapter as the best iPhone fast charger. “This charger is designed specifically for Apple devices and is capable of delivering a fast and efficient charge,” Sadique said.

Why is it so much faster?

The reason this charger is so much faster is that it uses USB-C technology and can deliver up to 18 watts of power, compared to the standard 5 watts provided by most basic chargers, according to Sadique. “This increased power delivery allows the device to charge much faster, reducing the time it takes to reach a full charge,” he said.

Which charger type should you stay away from?

In terms of charger types to avoid, Sadique says he recommends staying away from generic, low-quality chargers, as they may not meet safety standards and can damage your device. “Additionally, generic chargers may not be able to deliver the same level of power as a high-quality, brand-specific charger, resulting in slower charging times,” Sadique said.

Some other tips to keep in mind for more efficient charging sessions include not using your phone while it’s charging and never leaving it to charge overnight. Charging your phone so that it sits between 40 and 80 percent is considered the sweet spot — no need to power it up to 100 percent.
