Martha Stewart just turned 85 this month – not that you’d know it from her latest appearance! The chic and iconic TV host and cookbook author made fans do a double take when celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton shared a video of her rocking a new light pink hair color (or rose gold, as he put it) on his Instagram account, with some fans thinking she looked totally unrecognizable, albeit still fabulous.
The Martha Stewart Living founder seemingly traded in her signature blonde locks for a glamorous rose gold hue in the light-hearted video, which showed her mouthing along to audio from The Devil Wears Prada while telling Appleton to get to work.
“Pull yourself together. We have work to do. And by we, I mean you,” Meryl Streep‘s character Miranda Priestly says in the audio, which Martha mouthed along to, before Madonna‘s “Vogue” started playing in the background. Iconic things all round!

Chris Appleton Gives Martha Stewart A Super-Glam Makeover
Appleton made headlines a few months ago after sharing a picture with Britney Spears that left fans questioning whether it was an old picture, AI-generated, or the real deal. But there was no questioning that the Martha Stewart’s Cooking School author was very much real in his latest video!
“Welcome to the rose gold era,” Appleton, who has styled the likes of Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, Dua Lipa, and more, captioned the video, adding red rose and twinkling stars emojis. He then shared the formula he used to achieve the “rose gold” shade on Stewart for followers who wanted to recreate the look.
The celebrity hairstylist shared another post featuring pictures of himself and Stewart showing off the finished transformation. “Rose gold… It’s a good thing,” he captioned the post, once again adding the red rose and twinkling stars emojis. Fans of Stewart will, of course, recognize the reference to her signature catchphrase, “It’s a good thing.”
And this isn’t the first time Appleton has convinced Stewart to experiment with her signature locks. Back in January, the celebrity hairstylist gave her a trendy “mocha mousse” makeover, temporarily transforming her famous blonde bob into a darker shade. Clearly, Stewart isn’t afraid to switch things up!

Fans Are Obsessed With Martha Stewart's Glam Makeover
Needless to say, the comment section was filled with reactions to the lifestyle icon's glamorous makeover, with some fans admitting they barely recognized her, while many others marveled at how Stewart seemingly continues to look better as time goes on.
"Is this really Martha?" questioned one fan, as a second said: "I don't think that's her." "She's unrecognizable," declared a third.
"[Expletive] Martha! That you?" questioned a fourth, while a fifth simply asked: "Is that her?" A sixth declared: "This doesn't even look like Martha!"
"Majorrrrr, mother Martha," gushed a seventh, while an eighth exclaimed: "Chris has done it again!" "Wait, this is so cute!" commented a ninth, followed by a heart eyes emoji. "Oh wow! Martha looks fabulous," complimented a tenth fan, while an eleventh declared: "Absolute perfection." "How does she consistently look better?" questioned a twelfth impressed fan.
"She is such an icon. Love me some Martha," wrote a thirteenth, followed by two pink heart emojis. "Best color on Martha. Warms up her whole face," praised a fourteenth.
And others couldn't get over how youthful the 85-year-old looked. "Please God let me be a fire like this when the time comes," raved a fifteenth fan, while a sixteenth cheered: "Work it Martha!" "How is she aging backwards!?" questioned a seventeenth, while an eighteenth said: "Martha is like fine wine," followed by a pink heart emoji.
"@marthastewart is aging backwards," echoed a nineteenth, followed by a pink heart emoji. "How does she look stunning all the time," wondered a twentieth.

Martha Stewart Turns 85, But Isn't Interested In The Number
The Sports Illustrated cover star's rose gold transformation comes just days after she celebrated her 85th birthday on August 3rd – although the Entertaining author has made it clear that she isn't particularly interested in the number.
"Eighty-five is just a number," Stewart recently told People while discussing the milestone birthday and her approach to aging. The cookbook author also doubled down on her previous claims that she has never gone under the knife, telling the outlet: "I have not had any plastic surgery at all. I don't think I need it."
And she certainly isn't letting her age dictate what she wears either. The former Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party co-host celebrated the milestone by sharing yet another swimsuit picture with her followers on August 8th, once again proving that confidence and style have no age limit.
