The 125 Best New Beauty Launches Of 2023

According to Vogue UK, everything Alexa Chung wears has been turning into retail gold on Ebay, rising up to 200% percent directly after she’s worn them. It’s a domino effect: she showed her fall 2010 collection for Madewell last month, and sent photos of her daily outfits to Vogue UK leading up to it.  Ebay has seen her favorites rise to the top: denim shorts (she owns 10 pairs),clogs and the Mulberry Alexa bag. We couldn’t resist but to choose our favorite looks from Alexa’s repertoire – guess a little bit of her magic rubbed off on us, too.

Alexa demonstrates how to wear denim shorts in winter and in spring–and apparently, readers agreed they needed a pair, too, as Ebay saw sales jump 277 per cent on the auction site after she wore them.

You don’t need Chung’s svelte stems to rock her favorite Denim Shorts look – just go with a longer length. If you want to get in on the trend, try these denim cutoffs by J.Crew at left ($79.50). If you’d rather go a little longer and more relaxed, check out Rich & Skinny’s Laid Back Shorts ($145) which offer a little room for a more relaxed feel so you don’t look like you’re trying too hard.

When Chung posed on the March cover of Vogue UK in Chanel’s SS2010 clog, the Dutch classic came back with a vengeance, rising 200% in sales on Ebay. The good news is that if you want to give it a whirl, this one by Charli-C from Jeffrey Campbell ($124.95) is actually pretty cool.

Alexa has reportedly contributed to a spike in Mulberry bags being bought by younger women. This one, which she carries everywhere, is named for her.

Check out this Topshop large Merino holdall ($210) which has the same feel, but without the $1039 price tag. Feeling bold? Channel Chung completely by splurging on the flashier clutch version of her ‘Alexa’ Mulberry bag ($695), which features a pink shiny leopard print, a large gold closure and two buckle straps.

Check out Ebay for more, or if you’re not ready for denim shorts, check out our guide to skinny jeans, and get yourself a blazer, which goes well with everything on this page.
