Donald Trump Monetizes His Truth Social Posts

Truth Social has launched a scheme called Truth API, which charges up to $100k per month for early access to the president's posts, which frequently drive stock market volatility. The plan launched earlier this month, and it reportedly already has subscribers. "The government can’t discriminate who it gives information to based on who they are, what they believe, what they’re willing to pay the president," he says.

Social Media Reactions

Across social media platforms, users are appalled at Trump's latest plan, and wasted no time calling him "corrupt" and "a grifter," names he's very used to being called. "The corruption is nonstop with this administration," one person wrote on Instagram.

"It is so illegal; the president's public statements belong to the public," wrote another. "Micro seconds matter for making this public; withholding public statements made by the President, even for seconds, can cause material harm."

"Just when you think things can't get worse—surprise!" posted a third person.

"Grift, corruption, wars, cuts to scientific research for pandemic prevention, turning the DOJ into a laughingstock, it's all part of his agenda," wrote the next.

"Pay to play. He doesn’t care about legality," a final user wrote. "He doesn’t care about ethics. Those don’t seem to factor into his decisions."
