At just 19, Kai Trump is already adding another business venture to her growing résumé – but her latest project is getting anything but a warm welcome on social media.
This week, Donald Trump’s eldest granddaughter has launched her own fashion brand, The Kai Signature Collection, as she prepares to begin her college golf career at the University of Miami. The new venture comes just months after the teenager partnered with Accelerator Active Energy by launching her own signature flavor, giving critics of her family another reason to accuse the young golfer of benefiting from her privileged background. Kai Trump Launches Her First Fashion & Merchandise Brand
Just when you thought the Trump family couldn’t get any more entrepreneurial or business-oriented, the eldest granddaughter of the president is putting her hat in the ring.
The soon-to-be college student unveiled The Kai Signature Collection on Instagram on Wednesday, sharing photos of herself modeling various pieces from the new line. In her announcement, Kai revealed she wanted to create clothing that reflected her personal style and gave people the option to use them as ‘everyday’ wear, which could be worn for various occasions, from going to class to hitting the golf course, running errands, and more.
The initial drop includes a selection of casual essentials, including a heavyweight T-shirt priced at $48, an organic tank top for $42, and a ‘classic dad hat’ costing $40. The collection is being marketed around the 19-year-old’s lifestyle as she prepares to transition from high school golf to the University of Miami’s Division I program.
“I’ve been so excited to finally share this collection with you guys,” Kai wrote on Instagram. “I wanted to create pieces that feel like me and that you can actually wear every day, whether you’re heading to class, the golf course, grabbing coffee, traveling, or wherever life takes you. This collection also means so much to me personally. A portion of the proceeds from my August merchandise drop will be donated to several breast cancer awareness organizations in honor of my mom.”

Social Media Users React To Kai's Announcement & Share Backlash
While some followers congratulated the teenager on her latest venture, others were quick to criticize the collection for its simple designs and the expensive price tags. Additionally, numerous social media users called the merch "basic" and questioned whether the pieces offer enough to justify their prices.
The backlash also comes shortly after the 19-year-old's collaboration with Accelerator Active Energy, where she launched her own Blue Raz Slush energy drink flavor. With the fashion line following yet another major project at such a young age, critics have once again mocked the golf player's privileged upbringing and suggested her famous family name has helped open doors for her.
"Groceries cost an arm and a leg, but yeah, go buy the president's grandkids' $38 T-shirts," commented an Instagram user.
"I'll buy one if Grampa gets gas back to under $3," joked another.
"The grift doesn't stop with this family," commented one critic, as another asked, "Who would buy this?"
"I wouldn't want my kids wearing something so tacky," wrote a user.
