Lauren Sánchez is making headlines once again, this time for showing off her enviable figure in a curve-hugging black dress in a new Instagram post while raising awareness about a rare tortoise species once thought to be extinct.
The former journalist faced backlash earlier this week after it was reported that she wants her husband, Jeff Bezos, to run for president, as she reportedly hopes to succeed Melania Trump as first lady when she and Donald Trump leave the White House. But her latest Instagram post is attracting attention for a much more positive reason!
The Black Ops Aviation founder shared the video on October 2nd, opening up about her experience meeting a giant tortoise in the Galápagos Islands whose species was believed to have been extinct for more than a century.

Lauren Sánchez Wears A Figure-Hugging Black Dress While Discussing Rare Tortoise Species
The 56-year-old philanthropist, who married the Amazon founder, 62, in a lavish star-studded, multi-day ceremony in Venice last year, looked effortlessly glamorous in a fitted black dress featuring thin spaghetti straps and a low-cut neckline.
She wore her dark hair down and opted for slightly more natural-looking makeup than usual, accessorizing with a delicate bracelet and dainty earrings.
In the video, Sánchez spoke about meeting Fernanda, a Fernandina giant tortoise in the Galápagos Islands, explaining that her species had been thought extinct for more than 100 years. “Then in 2019, a park ranger spotted her on Fernandina Island. She is the only one we know of,” she explained.

She also highlighted the importance of conservation efforts, noting that three Galápagos tortoise species have already disappeared forever. Fernanda's species is now among those being prioritized by the Phoenix Species Project, an initiative launched by the Bezos Earth Fund and Re.
Sánchez captioned the video: "Almost gone is not gone. The Fernandina Galápagos Tortoise was lost to science for more than a century. Now, through the @phoenixspeciesproject with @bezosearthfund and @rewild, it has a real chance at recovery. #LostSpeciesMonth."
In another part of the video, Sánchez swapped her glamorous black dress for a more modest and casual ensemble consisting of a white T-shirt, black baseball cap, and black sunglasses, proving that she can look just as stylish in dressed-down outfits too!
