Usha Vance looked chic in a dark burgundy halter mini dress during a new episode of Storytime with the Second Lady, where she welcomed Meghan McCain as a guest and discussed children’s literacy and her kids’ love of dressing up.
But her stylish ensemble, famous guest, and topics of conversation weren’t the only things that got attention, as some viewers were distracted by the Second Lady’s body language and delivery, with critics describing her as “stiff” and “robotic.” One viewer even wondered whether she was AI, while another jokingly urged her to “blink twice” if she needed help. And we thought First Lady Melania Trump had it bad with the negative internet comments!

Usha Vance Wears A Burgundy Halter Mini Dress On 'Storytime'
The Second Lady, 40, wore a chic and stylish dark burgundy halter mini dress that showed off her toned arms and legs for her appearance on the latest episode. She kept the rest of the look simple and wore her dark hair in a sleek, side-parted down do tucked behind her ears, while her makeup appeared understated and natural.
During the episode, Vance and McCain discussed children's books and literacy, as well as motherhood and their respective families. At one point, the conversation turned to their children's love of dressing up, giving viewers a glimpse into Vance's life as a mom to the four children she shares with Vice President J.D. Vance: Ewan, Vivek, Mirabel, and newborn Alec.
The appearance comes just two months after Vance made headlines for a dress she wore on a previous episode – but not for the reason you might think!

For a special Father's Day edition of Storytime with her husband, Usha, who was pregnant at the time, turned heads in an Old Navy asymmetrical maternity maxi dress in a bold coral shade. The one-shoulder design was a big hit with fans, especially when they learned how little she had paid for it! It originally retailed for $49.99, but after markdowns and additional promotions, Vance purchased it for just $8.75!
Vance later poked fun at the attention her affordable maternity look received, writing on X: "Now that we know the political significance of my $8.75 coral maternity dress from Old Navy, can't wait to hear what the New York Times has to say about my elastic-waistband pants and compression socks!"
She went on: "In the meantime, enjoy my pregnancy fashion (or lack thereof) and a good story with your kids on Storytime with the Second Lady."

Social Media Reacts To Usha Vance's Body Language
Many people on social media mocked Usha's body language. "You are weird like your husband MEOW," one critic wrote, as a second asked: "Wonder why Usha always looks like she is AI?"
"Why is Usha so robotic?" questioned a third, while a fourth wondered: "Why are you talking like that?" "Is this an SNL skit?" quipped a fifth. "It will be," replied a sixth, followed by the crying laughing emoji.
"Blink twice if you need help," joked a seventh Instagram user, as an eighth concurred: "Okay, very strange and stiff... feels like a hostage situation."
