As seen in pictures and videos from October 9th, the vice president was accompanied by his wife, Usha Vance, and three of their four children – daughter Mirabel, 4, son Vivek, 6, and newborn son Alec. He was seen holding his baby boy as the family made their way to board Air Force Two at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, ahead of a campaign rally in Ohio.

JD Vance Travels To Ohio With His Family Ahead Of The Midterm Elections
According to Reuters, Vance was traveling to Ohio to campaign for Republican candidates ahead of the November midterm elections. The vice president attended a rally at Allen County Regional Airport in Lima on October 9th, where he showed his support for Republican Senator Jon Husted and gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.
The trip also marked a return to Vance’s home state, where he previously served as a U.S. senator before becoming vice president.
“I gotta say, man, it feels good to be home,” he told supporters during his speech.
