President Donald Trump named conservative commentator and Trump Media adviser Katie Zacharia as the new White House press secretary on October 9, but her appointment has already drawn scrutiny. Alongside criticism of some of her past posts on X, Zacharia’s appearance in a congratulatory photo shared online has sparked discussion about her “Mar-a-Lago” style.
In an Instagram post congratulating Zacharia on her new role, Massad Boulos, senior adviser to Trump on Arab & Middle Eastern affairs and Africa and Tiffany’s Trump‘s father-in-law, posed with Katie on a red carpet in front of a Kennedy Center backdrop.

Katie Zacharia Appointed As New WHPS After Karoline Leavitt
Zacharia wore a black-and-white blazer dress with sheer tights and leather boots. Her look quickly attracted attention online, with some users commenting on her long blonde hair and glamorous makeup, including defined brows, dark eyeshadow, and heavy eyeliner.
Others compared her appearance to the look sometimes described online as “Mar-a-Lago glam,” while some speculated about possible cosmetic treatments, including Botox and fillers. Such speculation has not been confirmed.
However, the conversation surrounding Zacharia has extended beyond her appearance, as several of her past social media posts have resurfaced following the announcement.
The mom of four is set to succeed Karoline Leavitt, who previously served as Trump’s press secretary and was a prominent supporter of the president. Zacharia has also expressed strong support for Trump, including in a January 13, 2026, post on X.

Katie Encourages 'Trump 2028' In Resurfaced X Post
“Trump 2028. Watching @realDonaldTrump @POTUS at @Ford only shows that there is no other President in U.S. history that has done what DJT has done for our country,” she wrote.
The post has attracted attention because Trump is currently serving his second presidential term, having taken office on January 20, 2025. Under the 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, a person cannot be elected president more than twice, making Trump ineligible to seek another elected term in 2028.
It remains unclear what Zacharia intended by the post or whether she was using the slogan as a general expression of support rather than a literal call for another presidential campaign. Her past comments could nevertheless draw questions as she takes on a role that requires her to communicate the administration’s positions to the public and the press.
Zacharia married Tyler Zacharia in May 2011, and the couple have four children. As she steps into the high-profile position, her past online activity and public image are already becoming subjects of discussion.
