Khloé Kardashian Posts Back-To-School Picture Of Her Kids Featuring A Massive Balloon Display
Back-to-school season is in full swing as kids from all around the country return to school for the new academic year. In many households, it's normal to try to make the first day of school something more celebratory, whether that be for a fun meal out or some other kind of activity.
In the Kardashian household, like with many events, the first day of school is something else that seemingly deserves a grand gesture, specifically in Khloé's home. On Instagram, she created a post dedicated to her two children, True and Tatum, whom she shares with her ex, Tristan Thompson, starting their school year.
"I canNOT believe Tatum started school today!" she wrote in her caption. "And my True is in THIRD GRADE! Both of my babies are officially in school, and I truly don't know how we got here...In a blink, they're suddenly a little bigger, a little more independent, and becoming more and more of who they are meant to be...I love my babies beyond words, and I am so incredibly proud of the souls that they are and all that they are becoming. I love you so much, my cuties! I can't wait to see what this school year brings."
In the photos, she can be seen posing with her children next to two balloon displays, with large pink balloons and the words "3rd grade" for True, and blue balloons with the words "pre-k" for Tatum.

Social Media Users Slam Khloé's 'Wasteful' Balloon Display
After her Instagram post about her kids going off to school this year was shared earlier this week, there were lots of loyal Kardashian-Jenner family fans who praised the Good American founder's parenting and how much she loves them.
However, there were also a large number of social media users who pushed back against her post, not because of her caption or her kids going to school, but because of the balloon displays. The grand displays, which consisted of a large number of expensive-looking balloons, were deemed 'wasteful' and 'obnoxious' by numerous users, who felt that it was an unnecessary display for something like the first day of school.
"The balloon display for a first day of school is so ridiculous," wrote a user on Reddit. "It's setting the bar so high for these kids that their expectations for celebrations, gifts, etc. will be unattainable. They're too spoiled!"
One user called the display "so disgustingly wasteful," as another jokingly slammed them as "weapons of mass decoration."
"They could do those donations where a kid gets a backpack with school supplies," suggested a user, criticizing how much the balloons must've cost. "They could also just donate school supplies to a whole school and never notice it, money-wise. God, I loathe the wealthy who just hoard their wealth and blow it on such performative [stuff]."
"Their celebrations for normal events are 'over the top' because they have to photograph it and make the entire world see," wrote another. "That's quite literally it. The only way all of them know how to raise a kid is by throwing money at them. Must be so exhausting."
