If there’s one product making the case for Laifen’s personal care technology rebrand, it’s the Swift 4 Hair Dryer.
The innovative hair dryer is leading their IFA lineup—which makes sense, because it’s genuinely engineered, powered by a 115,000 RPM brushless motor that pushes out serious airflow. It’s enough to dry medium-length hair in about 1.5 minutes, while a smart temperature system monitors heat 1,000 times per second so speed doesn’t come at the expense of hair health. Woah! Talk about a routine upgrade.
And, through what Laifen calls its Nourishing Nozzle, the Swift 4 diffuses essential oils into a micron-fine mist at a steady, safe 58°C. While it dries, hundreds of millions of negative and positive ions work simultaneously to cut static and balance your scalp. It’s cool, engineering-first thinking, just the kind of thing that’s fitting to showcase at IFA.
Autocurl Curling Iron ($99.99)
Next up, the Autocurl Curling Iron made me feel like Laifen’s engineers are flexing on automation. Instead of relying on you to hold the right angle and feed hair in at the right pace (the hardest part of actually curling your hair, IMO), the Autocurl detects where your hair is placed and automatically determines which direction to curl it. You can go fully hands-free with the Auto Mode, or switch to Manual Mode when you want more say in the finish.
It’s fast, too—which for me as a mom, is a huge part of the battle. Each section takes only about 16 seconds, and the tool evenly distributes heat throughout. Temperature settings adjust based on your specific hair type, and 200 million negative ions work the whole time to cut down on frizz and add shine. Overall, it actually prioritizes your hair health; speed for the sake of it clearly isn’t the goal here.
I might actually be the most obsessed with Laifen’s Glowy Vanity Mirror, speaking as someone who always seems to find herself applying makeup in bad lighting. The Glowy Vanity Mirror replicates true, natural daylight with 360° even illumination, so you see yourself in totally natural light. The big, high-definition mirror surface also helps you catch all the details before you walk out the door—uneven blending, a patchy brow, whatever it is.
But the smart features are really where the mirror earns its spot at IFA. It senses when you sit down and turns on automatically, remembers your preferred settings, and offers multiple lighting modes depending on what you’re doing. That’s super helpful because a full glam routine and a five-minute skincare check need very different lighting, IYKYK. Oh, and it’s also rechargeable, making it just as at home on your bathroom counter as it is thrown in a bag for a trip. Plus, the low blue light helps you avoid eye strain, even if you spend a long time in front of it.
P3 Electric Shaver ($189.99)
Laifen’s new IFA lineup also includes the P3 Electric Shaver, which is pretty much perfect for my husband. He’s always accidentally nicking himself or complaining about irritation after shaving, so I’ve been paying attention to this one too. The P3 runs on twin linear motors delivering 12,000 cuts per minute, which sounds intense, but in practice it just means it’s fast without the buzzy hand-vibration you get from a lot of electric razors. The shaving head is engineered with an ultra-thin foil and a noticeably wider blade angle than most razors, which is apparently the secret to capturing coarse hair with way less irritation.
Best of all, it’s actually built for real life, not just a bathroom counter. It’s fully waterproof, so shower use is totally fair game, and it gets up to 100 minutes of runtime on a single charge. There’s even a 3-minute quick-charge option for those mornings someone (my husband) forgets to plug it in the night before. Oh, and a travel lock, too, so it won’t accidentally turn on and drain itself in a gym bag or suitcase.
Overall, what I like about Laifen’s IFA showing isn’t just that they’re launching four new products, but that all four products use smart engineering behind the scenes to make your life easier. A hair dryer that nourishes while it dries, a curling iron that basically curls itself, a mirror that shows you everything, and a shaver built for way less irritation? Sign me up!
