An insider told Us Weekly that Gigi, 28, and Leo, 48, have rekindled their romance, but the sitch is currently more of a friends with benefits agreement: “[They] travel so often so it’s best for them to keep their relationship open and fluid. Neither one of them wants to settle down at the moment,” the source shared.

The report of the rekindled romance came as a surprise to some, as news broke this past February that the couple had broken things off after a short time dating. A source said at the time, "Things just organically tapered off between them. [They] were at different points in their life, and it just didn’t work out between the two of them."
However, it seems that they've found a situation that suits their busy lives—they've been spotted together post-breakup at afterparties for both the Oscars and the Met Gala. Apparently, that friendliness has turned into a "no-strings situationship," according to the insider, and they megafamous pair are enjoying their time just having "a lot of fun" together.
'Situationship' Keeps Things Light After Rocky Breakups For Leo And Gigi
Perhaps partly due to difficult breakups in both Gigi and Leonardo's recent pasts, it makes sense that the A-list pair may want to just "hang out" rather than "settle down."
Gigi shares a young daughter, Khai, with ex Zayn Malik of One Direction, who she dated on and off for five years before splitting for good in October 2021. Leo, meanwhile, is perhaps best known dating-wise for his penchant for dating young—he's rarely ventured beyond the age of 25—and beautiful models. He was last linked to Daisy Jones and the Six actress Camila Morrone before the twosome broke things off in August 2022 after for years together. Some joked at the time that, since Camila had turned 25, Leonardo would move on to a younger fling—though, interestingly, Gigi is 28 years old.
The model and the Oscar winner were first rumored to be dating after being spotted hanging out at the New York Fashion Week afterparty in September 2022. A source said at that time, "They’ve been having secret meetups and have been spending time together privately...They’re very into each other and are seeing where things go."
