Kaia Gerber has recently faced increased scrutiny over her appearance, and now some fans are speculating about whether she may have used padding to add curves to her frame.
The model was recently spotted in New York City celebrating her Vogue cover alongside her The Shards co-star Homer Gere. The pair were photographed together while looking through copies of the magazine.
For the outing, the 25-year-old wore a black cropped spaghetti-strap top with fitted black satin trousers that flared slightly at the bottom. She completed the look with pumps and a black handbag.

Fans Ask Whether Kaia Gerber Is Wearing 'Hip Pads' In New Video
While Gerber appeared polished as she posed on the streets of New York, some social-media users became fixated on the silhouette of her trousers, with several claiming they could see what appeared to be padding around her hips and backside.
There is no confirmation that Gerber was wearing any type of padding or had undergone a cosmetic procedure.
“The side butt implants are comical,” one person commented on Instagram. “Is she wearing butt foam pads????” another asked.
Another wrote, “The padding in her back end is ridiculous.”
Someone else speculated about a possible Brazilian butt lift, writing, “Why did she get a bbl???? looks ridiculous on her small frame.”
Other comments included, “What did she stuff in her pants?” and, “I cannot with these hip pads....you won’t need these hideous, fake, OBVIOUS pads.”
The latest comments come as Gerber has previously spoken openly about the intense scrutiny surrounding her body and her own experiences with disordered eating. In the interview with Vogue, the actress addressed the way changing beauty standards have affected her and the comparisons she has faced throughout her modeling career.

Kaia Talks About Being Compared To Her Mom Cindy Crawford And 'Disordered Eating'
“We’re clearly in one of those cycles right now where people are very, very, very thin,” she said. “As someone who’s been thin most of my life, I’ve always been compared against my mom — like, What’s wrong with Kaia?”
Gerber also opened up about wishing she had been naturally curvier and explained how difficult it can be to have strangers constantly comment on her appearance.
“I would have loved to be born with boobs and a butt. People have always commented on my body, which is hard because I’m not always ready to comment on my own body, you know?” she said, adding that she has previously struggled with “disordered eating.”
She also criticized the idea that negative comments about someone’s appearance could somehow motivate them to make healthier choices.
“People are like, ‘You look terrible,’ and it doesn’t exactly make you go, ‘Oh, good. Let me get over this mental illness then!’ Negativity has never saved someone’s life,” Gerber said.
As Kaia continues promoting her latest projects, the renewed attention surrounding her appearance highlights the scrutiny she has long faced over her body, both as a model and as the daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford.
