Royal fans, critics, and experts don’t think Meghan Markle has genuine intentions for her potential return to the U.K. with Prince Harry this month, with many believing that if it were to go ahead, she would only be doing it for purely “selfish” reasons to promote her businesses.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were reportedly due to visit the U.K. together alongside their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, for the first time in four years. However, it has since emerged in reports from today that Prince Harry will travel to London alone, while Meghan and the children may still join him in other parts of the U.K. at a later date. This remains unconfirmed at the time of writing.

Insider Believes Meghan Markle Has 'Selfish' Motives For UK Return With Prince Harry
While reports from today suggest the trip may no longer go ahead as originally planned, when it was first expected to take place, royal watchers and insiders had already begun speculating about Meghan's motives for a potential U.K. return with Prince Harry.
Prince Harry's reasons for going to the U.K. are pretty clear. He is going to celebrate the fact that there is just one year to go until the Invictus Games are held in Birmingham in 2027, as well as to spend time with his father, King Charles, who he hasn't had the best relationship with since stepping down as a senior royal in 2020 and moving to California.
It was previously reported that the former Suits actress wanted to support her husband, help their kids build a relationship with their grandfather, and help make amends with the royal family. However, insiders claimed that this wouldn't have been her true intention, as they thought she wanted to use the trip to help her image, which they thought would ultimately benefit her businesses and other projects.
"If this trip goes ahead, the biggest beneficiary is likely to be Meghan rather than Harry," an insider spilled to RadarOnline a few days ago, adding: "From a branding perspective, she understands the value of being seen back in Britain and, crucially, being photographed alongside members of the royal family. That association still carries enormous weight internationally, and she knows it brings a level of prestige that money simply can't buy."
A 'Successful UK Visit' Could Help Meghan Markle's As Ever Business
The insider went on to say that her As Ever business could thrive if things go well in the U.K., so we should expect her to be on her best behavior if she and the kids do still come to some parts of the U.K. "Her lifestyle business trades heavily on an image of elegance, exclusivity, and royal association," the insider noted.
"A successful UK visit has the potential to reinforce all of that and generate exactly the kind of publicity she needs at a time when her commercial projects are under increased scrutiny," they added. "In many ways, she's looking for some of that royal magic to rub off on her brand again."
Of course, Meghan is aware that she doesn't have the best reputation, and any attention she does get while being in the U.K. could very well be negative attention, which could have the opposite effect and hurt her brand and businesses even more than anticipated!!
"The difficulty is that she's walking into an environment where public opinion remains deeply divided," the source noted.
"A return to Britain would generate huge attention, but not all of it would be positive. She faces the challenge of trying to polish her public image in a country where many people still haven't forgiven everything that has happened over the past few years."
"It's a high-risk strategy, but one she may feel she has little choice but to pursue if she wants both her profile and business to regain momentum. But what it boils down to is that she is only coming back with Harry for the utterly selfish, self-serving reason of trying to boost her profile and her business in the U.K. market."

"She is irrelevant," criticized a fourth, while a fifth called her a "vile woman." A sixth quipped: "Hope she is not trying to sell her jam. British people prefer real jam that you have to scrape off the spoon onto our toast."
