Miley Cyrus Admits That She Has Held Onto Her First Date Dress In A New Interview
The Hannah Montana star has been back in the spotlight ever since releasing her latest studio album, Something Beautiful, just before the summer. She's been doing a few intimate shows, posing for fashion campaigns, and giving some in-depth interviews about this new chapter of her career.
More recently, at the end of September, she sat down with Vogue in honor of her new collaboration with Maybelline and talked about how she likes to organize her fashion and beauty projects and how she truly enjoys organizing things based on the different "eras" of her life.
"I am joyful when I'm organizing and cleaning—it never feels like a task to me," she said. "Everything I do in my life is a little bit intense, but it has to be holistic. And that's why my eras, they're not a costume, they're actually like a metamorphosis or a true evolution for me personally."
As she talked about organizing, she spoke about her "legacy closet," which contains various pieces from different eras of her life, even including her relationship era with Liam Hemsworth, her on-and-off-again partner since 2010, and husband of two years before their divorce in 2020.
"I literally have a dress that I had on when I met my ex-husband, and then I have my dress that I wore on our first date along with letters and things that I really, I want to savor these kind of beautiful moments of my life, but because these intimate moments have also been public moments, it's a little bit tough to decide what piece I want to share and what I would ever allow to be seen," she revealed.
Fans Claim Miley Is 'Still Obsessed' With Liam Hemsworth Amid His Engagement
Since the pair of performers, who met while filming the romantic film The Last Song, split in 2020, Miley has been referencing their relationship and romance on occasion, opening up about how being divorced has impacted her life and more. She's also entered a new romance with drummer Maxx Morando and has raved about him.
"He's very similar to me," she told Harper's Bazaar. "We just don't take life too seriously."
Additionally, Liam has moved on as well, as his girlfriend of around five years, Gabrielle Brooks, revealed they're engaged on Instagram a few weeks ago, sharing a photo of her large diamond ring. However, despite the fact that each member of the former couple has moved on, fans are convinced that the "End Of The World" singer is "still obsessed" with her ex.
"She's still obsessed with him," wrote one fan under an Instagram post. Others claimed that Miley will "never be over him," and allegedly "misses him still."
We'll be curious to see how much more the "Flowers" singer decides to bring up her ex in the months to come as he plans his next wedding, or if they'll decide to keep their comments about each other even more rare.
