Let’s cut to the chase: the Facebook app has a lot of cons to it that include location tracking and intense battery drainage, considering how it is constantly updating and streaming videos and other media. If you decide to delete Facebook, your phone will undoubtedly improve when it comes to things like speed, according to many tech experts. And maybe you’ll even get some time back in your life — but it’s difficult to part ways with social media apps that keep you connected to the world. So the apps that you should really be focusing on cutting out of your life first because they are disastrous to your phone are apps you probably don’t even know are there. This is the app that you should delete immediately — and the good news is you probably won’t even miss it.

60+ Gift Ideas For Everyone On Your List
charging mistake

Wireless charging has some advantages over wired ones like convenience and no wear and tear, but Yan cautions that wired charging should be preferred for long-term use.

“Wireless charging produces extra heat and relatively slow charging as compared to a wired one,” Yan says. “In general, a wireless charger takes 30-80% more time than a wired one to charge a phone completely. Thus, for excellent battery life, opt for wired charging.”

Worst app

Unfortunately, there are several apps that function similarly to FM Radio-Internet Radio and are posing a danger to your phone, despite seeming innocent enough.

According to Yan, some other similar apps which are also a potential threat to your iPhone are:

**Video Editor- Mute video.

**BMI calculator-BMR calc.

**Easy Contacts Backup Manager.

**Cricone - Live cricket scores.

Worst app

Smart GPS Speedometer is another app that you should immediately delete upon finding on your iPhone, says Harriet Chan, co-founder of CocoFinder. “Its function is to display the current speed on a digital/analog speedometer, keep track of top and average speed and track your journey live on a map,” Chan says.

Worst app

The GPS Speedometer app contains a malicious clicker trojan module that can generate fraudulent ads, steal information, or open a back door, according to Chan. “The app generates ad-fraud tasks in the background, such as clicking links and opening web pages without interaction,” Chan says. “As a result, it generates revenue for operators in addition to sending device and location information and some user data to external connections. All these happen with a level of sophistry sufficient to outwit a security research lab however, similar apps are available in the app store, for example, Speedtest Master and MapMyWalk by Under Armour.”

Bottom line: deleting Facebook will help your phone, for sure, but keeping a few under-the-radar malicious apps on your list of ones to get rid of may be even more important.
