Yesterday, J.D. Vance held a White House press briefing, and wasn’t shy about addressing his weight loss. The vice president has shed at least a couple pounds in recent months, looking noticeably slimmer in the face and in the waist. After being asked by a reporter, Vance revealed that U.S Secretary of Health Robert Kennedy helped him lose “20 pounds in 20 days.” Keep reading for more information.

J.D. Vances Addresses His Weight Loss
After being asked by Fox News senior White House correspondent Peter Doocy about his apparent weight loss over the last few months, Vance joked about how he did it. "So, when you're the vice president of the United States and one of the first questions at a press conference in the White House is how much weight you've lost, you must have gotten very fat," he said with a laugh.
He then explained that his weight loss journey started back in February, when he was considering what he wanted to give up during Lent. His first thought was giving up sugar, but before he made the decision, he called RFK Jr., saying, "I know you're really into health. I'm thinking about giving up sugar. What do you think?"
Vance then detailed RFK Jr.'s response: "No, no, no, no. I've got something that's way better than that and way more intense."

"I eat a lot of high protein stuff and I eat a lot of sauerkraut," he continued. "So, my advice to you is that if you want to lose weight, call Bobby Kennedy. And if you want to enjoy what you eat, do not call Bobby Kennedy," he joked.
Earlier this year, RFK Jr. hinted at the diet he suggested for Vance and Trump at an event in June. "Within 20 days I lost 20 pounds," he said. "J.D. Vance is also on the diet and you can see how different he looks." While the benefits of a high-protein diet are well known, sauerkraut is often a well-kept secret hack for improving gut health, which has very positive effects if you're trying to lose weight.
