Kendall Jenner posted a new video detailing some of her favorite skincare products in partnership with L’Oréal, but numerous social media users are puzzled by the way she went about it.
The supermodel is partnering with the famous drugstore skincare and makeup brand as a ‘L’Oréal Paris Partner.’ Throughout the video, she demonstrates some of her favorite skincare products from the brand, applying them to her face. However, fans and other internet users couldn’t help but notice that she was wearing what looked like a full face of makeup as she filmed, making it feel more like an inauthentic ad than a skincare video. Read more about it and the backlash it’s receiving below.
Kendall Jenner Posts New Video In Partnership With L’Oréal Paris On Instagram
Women in the Kardashian-Jenner family are famous for their partnerships with big brands, including the eldest Jenner daughter, who has more recently been collaborating with L’Oréal Paris.
In addition to filming high-quality advertisements and posing for promotional photos, she’s also begun sharing content for her partnership on her social media profiles, including her Instagram page, where she shared a vlog on August 27th of herself applying one of her favorite skincare products.
“I wanted to come on here and show you a little bit of my current skincare,” she says in the intro of her video, with her dark hair worn down as she sports a simple white tank top. “There’s been ups and there’s been downs, but I thankfully kind of figured out my skin and what works for my skin.”
Throughout her video, Kendall applies her favorite L’Oréal product to her face, specifically a hyaluronic acid serum, stating she “glows” while wearing the “high-performance product.”

Social Media Slams Kendall's Video & Speculates She Had On A Full Face Of Makeup
After the Victoria's Secret model posted the video of herself talking about the skincare product and boasting about how great it is as she applied it to her face, it didn't take long for it to generate many views. As it gained popularity, there was a notable part of the video that caught people's attention.
In the clip, it looks as though she's wearing a full face of makeup, though it looks more like 'no-makeup makeup.' Her lips were a noticeably darker color, and it looked as though there was natural-looking eyeshadow around her eyes, keeping her subtly glammed up for the advertisement-esque video.
"Do you do your skincare routine when you're wearing makeup?" commented an Instagram user with a laughing emoji.
"Is doing skincare on makeup the new normal?" asked another.
One user asked, "Who does skincare with a full face of makeup on?" as another suggested she'd "do anything for money."
"Gorgeous girl, but come on," wrote another. "You have makeup on, and you're applying serum on top for the partner AD and nothing more. This is the fakest thing ever."
