Kim Kardashian once again found herself at the center of a fashion debate after stepping out for a good cause in Los Angeles.
The reality TV star attended the 8th Annual Soirée for This Is About Humanity on August 29, where her outfit quickly caught the attention of fans online.
For the evening, the Skims mogul wore a cropped white Maison Margiela cardigan with long sleeves (she wore a cozy cashmere cardigan from the same brand at the 2024 Met Gala), styling it off one shoulder to reveal a black sheer bra underneath. She paired the top with a champagne-colored Faycal Amor satin skirt featuring a mesh panel and high slit, along with strings that wrapped around her waist.

She completed the look with beige strappy heels and wore her signature long, mermaid-style hair parted down the middle. Her makeup also followed her familiar full-glam aesthetic, featuring a neutral-toned palette and nude lips.
The 45-year-old has faced plenty of fashion scrutiny throughout her years in the spotlight, and social media users were quick to weigh in on her latest look.
“How about an organization to help educate celebrities how to dress themselves,” one person wrote on Instagram.
“Outfit is hideous,” another bluntly commented. “Is that outfit suppose to be fashion?” a third person asked.
“Of all the beautiful outfits she could have chose, this is it,” someone else said.
Others were even harsher, with one commenter calling the ensemble “Tacky and tasteless."

Kim Donates $50K For Good Cause
Despite the criticism surrounding her outfit, the mom of four used the evening to support an important cause—and made a significant contribution herself.
The event, held at actor Henry Winkler’s Brentwood estate, raises money and awareness for families separated and reunited at the U.S.-Mexico border. Kardashian attended in support of her childhood best friend, Zoe Winkler Reinis, who co-founded This Is About Humanity and is Winkler’s daughter.
When the live auction began, Kim was the first to raise her paddle, pledging $50K to the organization and helping kick off the fundraising portion of the evening.
